Is it fair or not too soon to ask just what the devil is depicted by the center image?

Come on, wimps. The first half day & you're already asking for clues on 1/3 to 1/5 of the puzzle? Where's the challenge in that??? :p

Hal, you're a wicked, twisted man. Piq, you're just wicked.

I have my notions about what the three pictures are. The overlay must have some sort of meaning, too. It's just assembling the whole nasty mess that baffles me.

NateBrei - the challenge is in seeing if we can persuade Hal to answer. Mind games are at least as much fun as puzzles! :D :D

Selma. Thanks for the acknowledgement. Re the puzzle, me too  , but I cant put them together in any way that makes sense, yet.

The middle image looks like one of three different species of rock, none of which would ever be in the title of a piece of music. I can't get past that.

Standing ovation for piqaboo and OperaTenor who, in a collaborative effort, have correctly identified this month's Opus X! Hoorah! :D

Piq definitely gets first billing on this. All I did was supply a couple of missing links. She's the one who had the big picture.

piqaboo- I view hints as a privilege earned by those that solved the puzzle. Post hints at will. :)

Raise your glasses in a toast to NateBrei, the next to correctly solve this months Opus X!

Marye it's not just you. I can't see it right now either. The server that I rent webspace from appears to be having problems right now. Give it some time. It is probably just a temporary downtime.
