How'd that Nehylebel (I know it's spelled wrong) piece go OT? I've played some of his trombone choir stuff and it can get a little weird. Great stuff though, but no one will ever mistake it for a lullaby. At least what I've played.

Who? Nehylebel, or something like that?

Immediately springs to my (admittedly unusual) mind: e e cummings, archie, and mehitabel

I need a new brain.

Hi TBP,

It went well both times we did it. Good analogy, definitely not a lullaby.

Back to hemiolas. A couple of weeks ago, we did a psalm refrain that was in 4, the melody line broken into triplets, and then a hemiola over the triplets in one section.
