I'm suprised no one mentioned it here. Don't we talk about music anymore? :p She was a big one!

Not really.

I have her doing a splendid job as Brunnhilde in "Die Walkure", "Seigfreid" and "Gotterdammerung". Decca's version, conducted by Georg Solti.

The other great Wagnerian soprano I've got on disc is Kirsten Flagstad as Frika in "Das Rheingold". It's from the same series as the others.

Didn't she date Sylvester Stallone?

My goodness, she had a gentle but wicked sense of humor.
Shame more "stars" arent cut from her personality mold. :D

I love that it was easy to sing in big places (aka loudly), and hard to sing well softly. Aint that the truth!

Even my locol trog paper had a cut down version of the aricle in their dead-tree edition. The SD paper was the only uncut version I could find on-line.

I liked the mine helmet story.
