Postby keokime » Wed Mar 28, 2001 4:35 pm

im bored, so i figured i would tell you what show i am going to tonight.
Generally acknowledged as one of the top three or four orchestras of the world, the 112-year-old Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will make its Florida debut in two exclusive performances for Regional Arts.
This first concert will feature the Brahms Concerto in A minor for Violin and Cello and his Symphony No. 1 in C minor. The orchestra's renowned Music Director, Riccardo Chailly, will be on the podium for this eagerly anticipated concert.

Keokime,
That work is more commonly known as the "Double Concerto" and it's marvelous. Along with Brahms 1st Symphony...well, you're in for a realy musical treat. Enjoy it, I'm jealous!

Keokime,
I'm jealous, too! What a fantastic programme! Do come back, & let us know what you thought of the concert. I'm sure the Brahms boys will also be curious!

OK, IM BACK.
THE CONCERT WAS GREAT. THE DOUBLE CONCERTO WAS NICE, BUT, WELL, IT DRAGGED A LITTLE. THE CELLO SOLOIST WAS REALLY ON FIRE.
THE SYMPHONY, WELL, WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY. BEST SHOW I HAVE SEEN YET (NEVER SEEN ANY OF THE BEETHOVEN SYMPHONIES YET). I LOVED IT, AND I FELL IN LOVE WITH BRAHMS ALL OVER AGAIN. THE FINAL MOVEMENT JUST BLEW ME AWAY. IM NOT A GOOD CRITIQUE, SO THAT IS ABOUT ALL I CAN SAY.
