God Bless the Internet!!!!

I’ve posted this before the site crashed…
YOU HAVE GOT TO CHECK THIS SITE!!!! www.andante.com
Among lots of interesting things, this site has a very extensive list of analysis of different works by several composers taken from Michael Steinberg’s “The Symphony” and “The Concerto” http://www.andante.com/reference/concertnotes.cfm
It has, as well a very large section about Mahler with a detailed chronology and analysis of all his symphonies by Henry-Louis de La Grange, who is perhaps the most knowledgeable author in the Mahler field. http://www.andante.com/GreenRoom/Mahler/MahlerIntro.cfm
If anyone is interested in the Mahler parts I have all the information on two ready to print archives so you don’t need to save and edit it. So send me your e-mails and I’ll gladly send them to you. (I also have a long Mahler bio by Gabriel Engel)
Some other sites I also recommend to visit are:
Beethoven the Magnificent Master: http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Strasse/3732/index.html
and also: http://musicweb.vavo.com/Mahler/index.html
(a considerable number of recommendations of Mahler’s symphonies and songs by one of the guys of the Mahler forum)
GOD BLESS THE INTERNET!!!!!
Hey, why don’t we all recommend useful internet sites?

[This message has been edited by Luis (edited 04-10-2001).]

Speaking of internet sites, I stumbled onto something called "Unheard Beethoven" the other day. I didn't explore, but I wondered if it was legitimate.

Well, there was an Unhearing Beethoven once. Do you have a URL for it?
Nevermind. It's at http://www.unheardbeethoven.org.
Very interesting. Site seems honest enough. I can't wait to get home and try some of these out where I can play undisturbed.
-Bill
[This message has been edited by Luegwig (edited 04-10-2001).]

We hope to be able to instituts a program here at Beethoven.com that will allow links like this to be added our Ludwig Links page eventually. It's what we want our page called "The Liszt" to be all about. If you would like, please email webmaster@beethoven.com to voice your interest in seeing this happen.
Kevin Shively
Beethoven.com
