I thought the condom ad was a bit over the top. All in all, I'd rather have heard Bolero.

Trojan's emblem has always been a warrior's helmet. Do they really think that advertising their product from a woman's point of view is going to improve their image? Maybe they would fare better if they change their name to some other Greek culture, Lesbos, perhaps? Well.... no... that probably wouldn't work....

Hi Shap,

Did you ever listen to Concerto in F?

OT,

Yes! Enjoyed it very much. I have the Gershwin CD on top of the stack to listen to again, but I haven't found the time. I usually give them at least two listenings all the way through before deciding on any favourite works.

I'm trying to make one request per day, and trying to request something that I've not heard on B.com in a while, if at all. I know some won't be on the playlist, so I don't expect to hear them all.

Yesterday I requested Faure's Pavane, which I greatly enjoy but haven't heard in a while. Today I requested Gershwin's Concerto in F, which I don't think I've ever heard on B.com.

I was trying to remember some works that B.com has played in the past, but that I haven't heard in a while. Such as some that we considered overplayed a year or so ago - Barber's Adagio, There was a concerto by Corelli that used to get some airplay, but I've not heard in a while, Albinoni's Adagio, and Mouret's Rondeau for Trumpet.

If you can think of any others, let me know or, better yet, request them yourself.

I'm not able to listen currently, so I'll make requests vicariously through you, Shap.

Request the Offertorium from the Cherubini Requiem in C minor(Do minore). It's one of H.R.H.'s favorites. ;)

I know they have it, because I sent it to them a long time ago.

I'll make note of it. They played concerto in F today, per request.

I sent them a copy of Richard Hampson singing Simple Gifts, which they played a few times, then one time I requested it and they said they didn't have it.

Well, they do clean out the vault now and then. I received a nice set of CD's from it once, just by being the eighth caller.

...and, no, neither Richard Hampson nor Cherubini were among them.. :D
