the salient points seem to be: time frame 1827-1899; composer non-western Europe and non-American; piece is for orchestra but usually not perfomed by orchestra, and is technically in one movement.

question: Russian composer?

I will give you a freebie here because had the composer been Scandinavian I would have answered 'yes' when asked if she/he was born in Western Europe.

That seems to leave only African or Eastern European composers, unless he's from Antarctica.

I think I'll do a Google search for Antarctican Composers. :roll:
