Well, I had heard that before, but it never made sense. Seems like it should be bttt [Bump To The Top] or simply btt [Bump To the Top]. Adding the P seems to make it [Bump To The Pot].

Perhaps the inventor of that particular anacronym was dyslexic, no?

Alternately, I could be out in left field, having having totally misfielded the deep fly that lost the game with an in the park home run in the 9th.

thefreedictionary.com (another urban dictionary it seems as it asks for input and alternative definitions) defines 'bttp' as 'back to the point'. I'd always used it in the sense of Bump To The toP...

So... You're saying that 'bttp' is an anti=hijacking tool that has been, well, hijacked? :D

How obscure is this guy (gal?)? Is it likely most of us know the name?

X is/was one of the top 20 performers of his/her instrument in the last century. Not quite a household name but probably recognizable by many.

X isn't Enrique Granados....X didn't appear in the Britain until the 1950's and X's New York debut took place in 1964.

I put in a guess which I think is correct, but I'm baffled by this clue:
X seems to have had an extraordinary influence on the development of a 'modern' school of music in a country not known for 'Western' music.

I was searching for composers/performers (easy to guess what instrument, see opening post) from western Europe countries not very famous for their classical composers. but he comes from a very well established country. I guess he influenced a country which is not his birth country, but I never heard of that influence...
