Would the composer, by chance, be Healey Willan?

I concur, I was one of those that didn't celebrate the 'new millenium' until 2001. Actually I didn't celebrate it at all, since the numbering system assigned to the passage of years is just an arbitrary assignment based on an approximation of the year of Jesus Christ's birth. Given the number of people that celebrated it in 2000 (including the President of the United States), I wasn't sure if which side you fell on.

Oh, Shap, tell me that wasn't Clinton.

Shos,

Yes, That's the guy. To add insult to injury, they had a big celebration, proclaiming it 'America's Millenium' or some such nonsense. I'm not sure how a country that is only 200+ years old gets to lay claim to a whole millenium, but that was it.

There was lots of rap music and performance art. It was almost enough to make one want to skip the coming 1000 years. :D

Here's a link to one of the celebrant's sites: America's Millenium 2000

I believe Clinton probably knew better, but he wanted to have the celebration in 2000 so he could preside over it, but I could be mistaken.

If it's not Bourdon, is it then Joseph Vezina?

Btw, just to confirm, the composer was born in Quebec province, right?
