OperaTenor wrote:Nope. Wedding March - Wagner(Lohengrin)

The Mendelssohn goes like this:

"Daaaah daaaah da-dah dah dah dah dah da-da-dah da-da-dah! Da-da-da-da-da-dah....."

So it does. I just typed in the first thing that came to my sleepy mind. Btw, I didn't know there was one more wedding march.

Those are the two most popular.

The Wagner is the one with lyrics. In English, "Here comes the bride..." My impression is this one is traditionally played at the procession, and the Mendelssohn is played at the recession.

that didn't look like either. Wagner is dah dah da-daah, dah dah da-daah.

OK what's this?
dah-daaah da-da-da-dah-dah-dah da-da-da daah-da-dum, da-da dah-de-dum, dah-de-deah, dah-de-deh, dah-da-daaah repeat with slightly different ending.

Ahh...yes, I've heard that too! Didn't know that it was actually "from classical music." Just like how I didn't know about Felix's a few months ago.

I know, I know...some part of the adagio from Summer (The Four Seasons)!
At least the second line makes me think so.

I think what Piq quoted was the intro, not the verse.

The intro to the verse is one pitch - the dominant of the key.

So, if it's in B flat, the note is a repeated F over "Dah dah da-da dah dah daaaah daaaah...", and then goes right into the verse.

Does that help?

it's not that.
the 3rd movement (not very famous) is dah-daaah dah-da-dah, dah-daaah dah-da-dah. pretty close.

I was wrong. It was the 2nd movement of the Rhenish that I was actually thinking of.
