Listening to 'Fate', performed by NYPO and Bernstein, and frankly, it's putting me to sleep. I don't know if it's influenced by the often played version (Bela Drahos and his symphonia).
I know that this is a regularly debated topic and surely everyone will have their own view, but for a newbie like me I'd like to have a list of Beethoven (Sym) CDs sorted out by their tempo, because I don't want to get a set that will either put me to sleep, or is just too fast that I will not be able to enjoy the music. And, of course, there is always the tempo that it is meant to be played in.
