Love that 1712 Overture. One of P.D.Q. Bach's finest works.

Too bad B.com won't play the Bach Portrait. :(

Mahler's Fourth! I think this is the first time I've heard in on B.com. I haven't listened to this one in years.

Shapley,
Hope you enjoyed the work. It was my request :-)

BTW - I will be flying to Kansys City next Monday. Has your schedule changed where you may be in the area?

It hasn't changed yet, but I'll keep an eye out for an opening. I may have to go to Chicago soon, but that doesn't help...

PM me a location I can reach you at if I can make the trip. I can leave a message at you hotel or something. I can always PM you if you'll be getting online, as well.

Tetrazzini selections. Un-remastered, unfortunately, but good enough to reveal a magnificent singer.

The Tetrazzini section was a little long for me - my ears really don't enjoy the bad recording quality despite the magnificence of the singer.

Did leave me wondering if I've got enough of yesterday's chicken left for Chicken Tetrazzini tonight. I know I've got noodles.

Since I can't listen to the (BLOCKED) B.com stream here at work, I must resort to another stream that I can sneak through the firewall. Thus, I thought I might be immune to the frequent renditions of Peter and the Wolf heard on B.com....ahhhhhh, not so much. I am currently being assailed by P&TW as I type...fortunately withOUT Jonathan Winters. Sorry Selma...I know that you love this piece. Time for a coffee break.

Our ITiots haven't found the Walrus yet - it's moldy oldies and I like it. Walrusfm dot com. You can hear the Beach Boys, when they were boys!

Now, that was a nice start for a day. Got the stream up, finally, and it's the Canadian Brass going on and on about Handel's bright Seraphim - and then they're playing some Gabrieli stuff. Y'all know how much I like good brass.

Delightful.

Yes... Wasn't that a nice arrangement of the Handel! I will be performing Let the Bright Seraphim Christmas Eve with my niece (soprano voice major)

The Gabrielli was an outstanding request.
I have played that one before and we performed it with two brass groups on each end of the church!
Fun Stuff today!!!

I think this Roll Tide by Hans Zimmer sounds very Ennio Morriconeish. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
