Holst Was Right

When Holst wrote The Planets, he left out Pluto (for good reason, since it was discovered about 15 years after the music). And it took till now for astronomy to confirm he had it right.

O.K., so do we get a couple of Little Suites for Pluto & #10 (Xena)? A cross between those things with barking dogs and Zorba the Greek?

I posted earlier on the 'News' thread that Colin Manchester's addition to The Planets, Pluto would now have to be relegated to the musical dustbin.

I suppose someone could commission a collection of such works, including Xena, Gabrielle, and those numbered rocks, and call it Space Debris. :D

Too bad Philip Glass isn't still alive! He'd be all over the task of trying to musically describe all these too numerous to name, yet all slightly different, almost insignificant worlds.

LOL, well, it was only 15 or so posts under the other account, so hey, no problem. I'll just throw some beer around sometime when I have a chance.
