Catmando asked during the last one I did if the composition had any relationship to the number of the 30Q - so I decided to take the hint and do so this time. I looked for an 'Opus 43' or a 'Symphony No. 43' that might pose a bit of a challenge, and decided on Saint-Saens.

Even though a random selection, it seems to be an interesting piece. Have you listened to it before?

I think my brain has unfried a little.

No, I've not heard it. It is apparently very popular with Cellists for recitals, and the sheet music is widely advertised on the web, but I'm not at all familiar with it.

I don't know any cellists personally, and the only one I have CD's of is Yo-Yo Ma. I may have the piece on vinyl, I couldn't say for sure.

My dream would be to a cellist and play in string quartet or piano trio groups!

I love the Cello, as well. Yo-Yo Ma is playing right now on B.com.

Of course, I never have an pretensions that I could actually play one - or play anything else, for that matter. Someone has to buy the music to keep those that have the talent to play fed. I guess that's my role in life. [sigh]
