I was surprised Symphony #5 did not get more votes.....

It only lost by one vote. I was surprised at how few people voted.

Well, looks like the "Titan" mauled the "Resurrection". I am dishaeartened that my favourite is now out of the running.

I guess we'll have to pit the Titan against the next contender.

We'll have to do a few more polls of some of the great Romantic symphonists. We've already done Brahms and Mahler, perhaps a handful more Romantic symphonists, and then do a final showdown of the favorite Mahler, Brahms and others.

TM, just listening to my Mahler CD right now, symphony No. 5. No wonder you like that symphony so much, lots of terrific trumpet work!

I was fortunate enough to be able to perform that Symphony
a number of years ago (was principal trumpet) so I got to do all those solo's.... A tremendous first movement!!!!
