Does anyone know where to find a copy of Barber's complete symphony? (the Adagio in the second movement is about all I can ever find)

I believe the Adagio comes from a string quartet. I'd go check some of my books and records, except that I'd be kicked off the internet for dawdling, and I often have trouble getting on. I know it's not from a symphony. Good luck.

Following up on Adagio for Strings. It comes from his string quartet op.11. My old Schwann Catalogue lists 6 recordings back in 1995. On the chance you would be dissatisfied with the other movements, look for it in a library first. I've never heard the work, myself, but I suspect the adagio is what carries it. If you do find the quartet, please let us know what you think.
