HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUDWIG!

Postby Flowerboy » Fri Dec 15, 2000 11:53 pm

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL MUSIC LOVERS! did you bring your eartrumpets to the festivities? Today the master of music is 230 years old. This is not only an important day for Beethoven lovers, but for everyone else as well, for Beethoven innovated music to what brang forth the music of today. I'd like to visit his grave, but i cant afford the trip. Me and my friend David will go, someday, to see him. But for now, i'll just sit and think about and listen to Beethoven, in his respect. I dont expect any replies, but hey its an important occasion, and No One shall take it lightly.
#1: Thou shalt honor Beethoven as the master of music.
#2: Thou shalt not take the name of the master in vain.
#3: Thou shalt remember December 16th and keep it holy.
#4: Thou shalt NEVER spell "Beethoven" with a lower-case "B".
#5: Thou shalt not have any composers before HIM.
Flowerboy (a disciple of Beethoven)
I think it is perfectly all right to express one's feelings about Beethoven. After all, I think he created some of the mightiest music on earth.

I enjoyed the 5 commandments. How about "Thou shalt have a dose of Beethoven's music every day."? I think that should be mandatory in schools. A dose of Beethoven would also be good at ball games instead of the national anthem. We'd probably develop a better class of sports enthusiasts.

i enjoy the thought of the Beethoven in schools! but at sports games, thats a little too far. Its already custom to sing the national anthem. Ive heard that playing classical music to babies can increase their learning capabilities also. Id give my child (if i adopt one) Beethoven mostly, but Mozart would be good too. Shi*, living in my house, he/she will probly learn to conduct by watching me by age 3! lol. whats your thoughts on that one shos?

I had 3 boys that were (over)exposed to the classics growing up. They are grown and gone. Boy 1 has symphony subscription tickets. Boy 2 has some classical CDs. Boy 3 sings Kareoke. Maybe you'll have 3 conductors. Best of luck. Shos
