Your description, much of which was new to me, must be of Pythagoras. I've also heard that he was the central figure of a secret cult whose members identified themselves with the sign if the pentagram, which has some wonderful geometric features. <BR>I also read that a rather neat pictorial proof of his famous theorem is attributed to President Garfield.<BR>Shos.

Another riddle for you folks.<P>We see above that Ave Maria was composed in B-flat, which, of course is 2 flats.<P>Why was it composed in 2 flats ?<BR>
