The Superior music of Beethoven

Postby The Prince » Thu Jan 04, 2001 2:01 pm

I find that each time I listen to any music by Beethoven I hear something different or in not quite the same way, and the music effects my in a different way. His music absolutely stirs the emotions. It is superior to any other music. It raises the level of conscienceness, and stirs the senses. No other music does that. Do otheres feel this way. Thank you.

You`re in good company here, T.P! Beethoven`s music has an hypnotic power (surely unique in this way), ever drawing us closer toward it. The more we listen, the closer we get. Yet, it always manages to keep ahead of us. After listening, we want to move on, but we can`t - we have to listen again. The possibility that we may hear something new the next time, keeps on bringing us back. The ANSWER must be in there somewhere, and we keep on hoping that we`ll find it. But we probably never will. There are so many layers of greatness, and yet, for all we know, we may still be scratching at the surface.......
