Barracks Bio

Postby shostakovich » Thu Oct 21, 2004 7:23 pm

This man was the first king of his people. He was suspicious, arrogant, militant, stubborn, did not take kindly to opposing views, and believed he was annointed by God. Today he would have backed Ariel Sharon without question. He is thousands of years removed from our fearless leader, who shares those characteristics.

On the other hand, he had some appreciation of music (unlike W), and he died in battle (unlike W).

I expect this Mr X will not be much of a mystery, and possibly there are many answers. Lay them on me. Obviously I was looking for a person who displayed some of W's less charming features. Who did I arrive at?

I guessed one! I guessed one! I hope Shos reads the pm very quickly and tells me I'm right because if I'm wrong I'm really going to be dejected, demoralized, and disgruntled.

And she SCORES! Congratulations, Selma.

Dai Bread comes in a close second. He also sends condolences on our election choice between Tweedledum and Tweedledee. I know a lot of BBBers feel the same way, but I'm going with Tweedledee.

Just like Mr. (sorry) King X in the end unless I missed my guess.

Originally, this semi-serious bio was put up just to be nasty to my unfavorite president. However, it turned into an interesting diversion. Add to Selma and DB the following scholars: GC, RC, and Saxy. Nice going, one and all.

I'm not so sure that Ariel Sharon would appreciate his support in the final years... If I'm thinking right. Some upstart had more connections with the right one.

Add Ben o' Den to the list. The answer is King Saul. OT gets honorable mention for King David. Now that this one is settled we can concentrate completely on Tuesday's election. I'd hate to have my "distraction" affect the results (unless you know who were to win).
