Looking for work? Good luck if you’re unemployed.

‘The unemployed need not apply. That is the message being broadcast by many of the nation’s employers, making it even more difficult for 14 million jobless Americans to get back to work.”

Watching 'SpongeBob Squarepants' shortens children's attention span, says study

Apparently. I didn't finish reading the article, though, as I was distracted...

It would be. Those things are quiet. Hybrids are bad enough.

She can at Gpas, and at Gmas, but not at home because of that car and its kin.

We'll have to start attaching playing cards to rub the spokes, like we used to do with our bicycles.

I believe I remember reading a while back that some city, New York perhaps, proposed an ordinance requiring noisemaking devices on electric cars out of concrern for blind pedestrians.

Isn't that just great!? (where is that sarcasm icon?) In a society plagued with too much noise pollution, we mandate more back-up alarms....for forward moving vehicles!

Well, I am happy for the guy who got the order for the $16.00 muffins anyway. Hopefully a small business that was graced by despicable overspending by our government.

More likely a big hotel chain that bought the muffins from a small baker for 50¢ each.

The muffins were for a conference. Was the meal self-service or were there wait-staff? If so, how were their wages accounted for?

Outrageous to us ...yes. I wonder if they really understand the context of the symbol. The "Nazi" symbol is actually an ancient Chinese religious symbol:

The swastika (Sanskrit: स्वस्तिक) is an equilateral cross with its arms bent at right angles, in either right-facing (卐) form or its mirrored left-facing (卍) form. Earliest archaeological evidence of swastika-shaped ornaments dates back to the Indus Valley Civilization of Ancient India as well as Classical Antiquity. Swastikas have also been used in other various ancient civilizations around the world. It remains widely used in Indian religions, specifically in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, primarily as a sacred symbol of good luck.
