A Possible Strategy Tactic

If McCain can get Tina Fey to impersonate Palin this Thursday and for the next month his chances of election are vastly improved. If the impersonation is discovered he can just exchange the fake Fey for the real Fey as his running mate. I would consider voting for that ticket.

A Possible Strategy Tactic

Hmmmmmmm, you can have a strategy or a tactic but I'm not sure you can have a "Strategy Tactic" although, to be fair, Strunk & White are silent on the issue.

I was making fun of McCain who said, during his debate, "Senator Obama doesn't know the difference between a strategy and a tactic". I'm assuming "tactic" refers to an individual action, while "strategy" refers to a grander plan. I haven't looked them up, either. The VP debate was pretty good, I thought. Fox News declared Palin the clear winner. MSNBC picked her apart. I wouldn't declare either candidate a winner. We'll have a better idea in about a week. I didn't think their talking points had anything to do with today's reality regarding the economic mess.

McCain's victory was sealed this afternoon when GWB signed that corporate welfare bill into law.

You think so? I kinda thought it was more favorable for Obama. The Democrat congress can take credit for getting it passed in spite of recalcitrant Republicans. The man who asked for it to begin with was Paulson, himself a Democrat. The only Republican who seems to love it was President Bush and I think it was a mistake.

Personally, I think it stinks no matter who benefits.
