It seems the e-mail is also affected by the machinations of the Adsertion partner?

I just tried to send an e-mail, and it seems to be lost in space.

All weekend, I was unable to access the beethoven email site. I could send and receive mail, but I couldn't get to the spam folder (which is STILL giving me far too many false positives, in spite of the addresses being added to the white list).

A question for Chris: Is there a way for Outlook 2000 to receive and clear the mail from the spam folder, so I could use a local filter that I have control of? I had received an instruction about changing from a POP3 to another setting, but my Outlook has that setting grayed out. Besides, even doing so, I would have to go into the spam folder and manually delete everything anyway.

Hi b.com folks,

I see the e-mail format has changed back to being similar to its old self. Thank you, I must say I like it better this way.
Seems to be one possible glitch you may wish to be aware of. When navigating from one mailbox to another, I usually get an error message, and must log in again. Upon doing that, I can then access the mailbox I was originally trying to get to.

Thanks for everything you folks do for us! :)

I believe the whole site was having troubles this morning. I tried to check email from home and couldn't get through, and when I tried to log on from work at 7:40, I couldn't even get to beethoven.com, although other sites were working fairly well. The homepage, music, and "now playing" are all working well now.

Hello all,

A question for Chris: Is there a way for Outlook 2000 to receive and clear the mail from the spam folder, so I could use a local filter that I have control of? I had received an instruction about changing from a POP3 to another setting, but my Outlook has that setting grayed out. Besides, even doing so, I would have to go into the spam folder and manually delete everything anyway.
The protocol you want to use is called IMAP4. It will let you download a list of the folders in your Beethoven email account and interact with them as if you were using the Web interface. If that option is grayed out you may have to try re-installing your Outlook 2000 program with the Internet account option enabled. You can find information about configuring IMAP4 on our Email Help page.

Regarding the "File not Found" problem that shows up with the email Web interface I'm still working to find an appropriate fix or workaround for it. (it's a bug in the software) For now if you just press F5 or click the Refresh button in your browser it will take you to the page you wanted to go to without having to login again. Hopefully I'll have it fixed soon.

Thanks for your patience!
Sincerely,
Chris Larsen

My appreciation for your assistance is immeasurable, Chris. I have a clue as to what your life must be like these days, with the new web design followed by the Adsertion hack.

Not to add to your plate, but earlier today neither the webcam nor the "Now Playing" were updating. The webcam has been that way for a while, but the "now playing" is new.
