The protocol you want to use is called IMAP4. It will let you download a list of the folders in your Beethoven email account and interact with them as if you were using the Web interface. If that option is grayed out you may have to try re-installing your Outlook 2000 program with the Internet account option enabled. You can find information about configuring IMAP4 on our Email Help page.A question for Chris: Is there a way for Outlook 2000 to receive and clear the mail from the spam folder, so I could use a local filter that I have control of? I had received an instruction about changing from a POP3 to another setting, but my Outlook has that setting grayed out. Besides, even doing so, I would have to go into the spam folder and manually delete everything anyway.
