AHA! So there IS an advantage to living in central CT and being able to pick up the signal from that loveable 500 watt coffeepot known as WTMI ! I've been wallowing in the music all day with nary an outage.
Of course when darkness falls, every station on earth steps on the signal and I must turn to CDs.
Oh, well. People in hell would like icewater, too, so why should I complain.

I have music again! B.com came back to my home computer sometime yesterday while I was out Eastering (we were at my daughter's this year) and it's back to the work computer today, too!

I tried getting the signal from the 500 watt coffeepot, but WTMI seems not to make it to Sandy Eggo. Probably it's the mountains in the way. Or maybe it's just too far for a coffeepot.

Anyway, I hope the station staff now feels appreciated and loved now that they know how much we whine when they leave. ;)

Dead air again. B.com was running fine, sounding good, and then the player "errored" and now it can't find the adsertion connection. Drat. I request-messaged the DJ, so the station knows, but no fix yet.

I'll play a couple of CDs and then try again. :(

Mine is back. I checked again.

On another note, while b.com was down I checked the dci.org web page and the Glassmen are performing at 6:00 Ohio time, tonight. There's a link from the dci page. I'll see if Random wants to listen in. Sound quality from Ohio not as good as sound from Connecticut.

Yeah, when I click the "play" button, I get an empty window (about the size of the adsertion window) but no music. Same with the "now playing" window.

Took about 5 minutes of white screen before the player connected. No normal vocal message about connecting either. Playing fine at the moment.

Our streaming company Adsertion is working out a few tech issues. Some people will have trouble connecting today. Sorry, about this, but these upgrades will help in the future. Thanks for your understanding.

Well, I think they've done something to Dan 'cause he's stuck in the webcam without moving.

Still can't connect to the stream today. The adsertion window opens, and the part that shows how long I've been connected eventually says "closed."

I find it amusing that we can't listen to a radio station named after a composer who went deaf.

More frustrating is being able to read on "Now Playing" favorite compositions I am missing. I take for granted how much Beethoven.com adds to my day.

Apology to Hughes Mearns:

As I was listening to dead air
I heard sweet notes that were not there.
They were not there again today.
I wish, I wish they'd start to play.

Hmm. Seems I am not the only one with dead air. I'll have to listen to Ohio, or CDs. Drat.

I want my good radio back <whimper icon here>!

Double drat.

Yes! The stream has flowed into Mississippi, seen heading West Coasterly.

I just walked in the office and found out Adsertion (our streaming partner) was hacked last night. They have just now been able to repair the damage. You will slowly see streaming return. If you can not log on by the end of the day send an email to our Help Department: helpme@beethoven.com

Sorry about that folks, hackers are just a part of the internet. Keeps us on our toes.

Well, there's some progress. The player launches instead of reporting a dead link. Mind you, there's no music stream yet, but there is a player.
