Shoot !!! and I spent the night reviewing news archive footage from 1977 and 1978. Well I sure wish I had logged on. Pretty hard to use the computer when its useing 100% of its processing power to render video

! LOL (quietly) OT. And I am still laughing at the hair styles and clothes we use to wear in 1978! Who ever had the contract for making plaid pants and sports coats must have made a fortune. Everyone had long hair and side burns.

I have started a business that is transferring all of the archive footage from film and old videotape on to DVD. The station I have a contract with has film that goes back to 1957!

I estimate there are about 100,000 tapes and films. I am going to be busy for a LONG time.

Thanks Hal ! This project is going to be a lot of fun. The first tape I played was from Jan 1 1978. the first story was a hommicide in Detroit. noting unusual there, but, it was a snowy day, coming down like crazy. They guy was shot on the front porch of his house. ( he lived on the second floor and there was a party that nigit there) 2 women lived on the first floor, and said they didn't know anything. BUT the snow on the front porch was shoveled AROUND the body !!!!

Good morning, yourself! The weekend proper will start about 3:45 PST, for me, but I suppose it's technically the weekend now.

Good thing I've got b.com to keep me company in my cube.

Last night was a fine bit of weekend, though - elder dtr called me as I abandoned work. Mike the Red was booooored with his house, his cats, his mother and his toys. So, to the toy store they headed. I joined them. Mike inspected everything, drove all the cars, jiggled all the bicycles, pushed all the wagons - if it's February and all the playgrounds are soggy, I recommend a toystore for indoor recreation!

The store did all right off the deal. Melle bought a couple of practical things, and I bought toys. For me! Magnetic thingies - short cylinders about 1/4" dia. with magnets in the end, 1/2" steel balls to join them. You build things. They're great!

Expeditions with babies sure beat booooooredom.
