Are the Google, Yahoo, and MSN Bots somehow necessary for the search engines to scour the board content quickly and efficiently?

Yes, they are. They are also identified by a list of IP addresses that is updated by a few webkeepers to allow us board admins to seperate the wheat from the bots.

It seems our newest member, Davebassoon9, would appear to be bassoonist. We're getting quite an orchestra here at the ol' B.com BB. Trumpets & Trombones, Violins & Voice. Should be a very musical celebration when we all get together for the Beethoven Day picnic! :)
