Scott...I am sad to see Nicole leave but so pleased that you'll be back with us! Serving up some more of that great classical music! Hope to see you as well on the BBB.

I certainly appreciate the welcome. It is a tough position to fill but I hope I can do some justice to it. I am so happy they thought enough of me to give me the opportunity to make a "come back".

It is going to take some time for me to get into the swing of things again, I just hope I haven't forgot all the pronunciations.

I think it's Box T. Howdy and Rock Man-Enough that tend to trip people up, but there are a few others that give us problems.

I'm surprised by the announcers at the NY Metropolitan Opera's live broadcasts. They''re incredibly pure in their pronunciation of foreign names, at least to my ear.

I doesn't help that they have a 'Chopin Mall'...

But, seriously, what are you supposed to do with composers with names like Badarcewska-Baranowska, Dargomyzhsky, and Schaposhnikov?
