Giving Thanks

Postby shostakovich » Mon Nov 25, 2002 9:37 pm

In this season of giving thanks, I'd like to thank Beethoven.com for the bulletin board, particularly. I've e-met some super people (not necessarily read "those who share the same ideas"), and enjoy the interaction.
I'd also like to paraphrase Alfred Newman's speech on accepting an academy award for music: "I want to thank those who have made this (web site) possible ---- Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Wagner, Verdi -------"
Happy Thanksgiving, bulletin boarders.
Shos
[ 11-26-2002: Message edited by: shostakovich ]

Well said, sir, and I would like to add my name to the list of those who appreciate what the staff and management of beethoven.com have given us, and the friends I've met here.

On this Thanksgiving holiday I give thanks to the following:
My wife who maintains her cool (most of the time) as she puts up with me...
My daughters and step-daughters...
My parents, other family members, and friends who always provide support when needed...
God who helps me maintain my spiritual, mental, and physical health...
Those fellow men/women who give their lives and lend their souls to the betterment of the world when the world can be such a nasty, not-so-nice place, filled with evil men and women who consistently attempt to make the planet their own...
The ideas that are allowed to flow and are not crushed by narrow-minded politics...
Hope, faith and prosperity that will someday overcome and fill the hearts of all on this marble: Earth...
And, of course to the many cultures and arts that provide the diversity and variety of our world...
And, also to Beethoven.com for allowing us to live, learn, and appreciate through music and its community...
Happy Thanksgiving and PEACE.
