While you're in Denver, buy tickets for August dci finals (what? an on-topic post? Heresy!)

You'll have to pass through again in August, but it's nice and dry at that altitude and I think the stadium is air-conditioned.

I have a feeling drum corps is something you don't get in regular music school. It'll be a nice change of pace.

Let's see. How to answer that.

Bignaf is on his way to the left coast, intending tenoricide.

I'm coming out in August to see the dci finals at Invesco field. Crashing on my sister. Bought tickets to quarterfinals (where I expect to see Esperanza) semifinals (where I have a faint hope of seeing Esperanza) and finals (where I expect to see BD, Vanguard, Cadets, etc.)

tenoricide! Oh no. Come visit our semi-snowy mountains Mr. Tenor!

Hmm, August.. Whens'about in August? I will of course be out of town. It always works that way.

I would, B O'D, were it not for the threat of tenorcide by a certain crazed music major who idolizes Lenny and Steve Reich(I don't know why).

ESPN2 will have the Drum Corps Finals, taped in Gillette Stadium last month, on the air tonight. Nine-ish. Check local listings to make sure what channel ESPN2 is on.

You will, sadly, not see my kid. You will see the best dozen drum corps do their best shows. There will be lots of dancers, brass and percussion, no strings, no reeds, and zero piccolos.

I can't see you in the crowd Selma! Were you cheering for anyone in particular? The only act I miss there are the Kodo drummers of Japan.

I was the one in the cheap seats with hat hair, from earlier in the day.

I rather liked the Phantom Regiment's show best. Esperanza didn't make it to finals, so I didn't have to cheer for anyone.
