No, that's not it because he said he was cute and had cockeyed-brows....

I still go with I should have taken the kid...

and the cute expression is reserved for the web cam...not walking up strange driveways in the cold...that's a whole different expression...
:)

and the babysitter apparently was a better option too...she dances and probably would have had more respect for the performance...

Call the babysitter! As Promotions Director of Beethoven Radio, I think we need to host a contest and find JM a date! We can search the Beethoven worldwide audience, post JM bio info on the website, ask interested parties to send in letters and references... we'll even kick in dinner and drinks! Who's game? ;)

All right...in an attempt to figure this all out...

I've embarked on a "Thirty Dates in Thirty Days" campaign. It started on December 9 and will end on January 23 (it's the night of our school formal, I figured that was a good time) and takes a week off for Christmas...

So far I've had five dates...I have 14 more planned...11 more after that shouldn't be too hard if I dip into friends who are already attached (it doesn't have to be romantic, just a one on one with a female...)

I figure at the worst, I'll take notes and write a screenplay...

The five so far are:
The now ex who torked me off - one last night out for dinner
A friend who's expressed feelings for me
A Goth model (she hadn't bathed in days, it was a quick one)
Saturday night at the ballet - blind date
Last night for drinks with a friend who's leaving her boyfriend.

Anyone want to contribute to the cause so that I don't go too broke?

Nicole,

Why don't you set up JM with the ever talented Anna? I think JM has a thing for her anyways LOL. Or is Anna already attached? I really think that would make JM's day ROFL :D :p

Apparently she has a big linebacker type boyfriend (who's also apparently a really nice guy) so that's out..
;)

Maybe I should buy some ad time on "The Rock" and get a commercial together...

I believe there's a shaved ape baby available, but you'd probably have to go to Neverland to pick him up for the date.

Anna does have a boyfriend. He's a nice guy but I wouldn't mess with him. He and Anna have been together for a long time so I don't see them breaking up anytime soon.

JM we need to do a dating show on one of the Marlin stations for you. I'm gonna work on this dating show idea and see what happens. ;)

"Marlin" stations...oh good lord...
I'm hoping that you mean Beethoven or the Rock and not the ball team or some out to sea fishing expedition...

Nope there are only two CT stations in the Marlin Broadcasting family the Rock and Beethoven. Marlin is our parent company. And WBACH in Mass, is a sister station too.

How about if I agree to appear on the air after the date and talk about it?

maybe someone should offer that service...dating debriefing, where you go and take turns venting and they generate a report...

kinda like a post-compatability thing...there's money to be made there, I'm sure. Just not by me. Wouldn't want to listen to it...

Hey...there's a New York service that will go on a date with you and rate you...

The counselors are all clinical psychologists and part of the program is that you send in like 5 women you know to talk to her afterwards and you sit behind a one-way mirror and watch the drama unfold...

sheesh...if I want that kind of abuse, I can just go home for the holidays...oh, yea...I am...

JM,

Instead of Internet Personals ads, have you tried to go to a Real Dating service? Like Matchmakers or some other place that does all the leg work and sets you up with dates based on your profile? My friend did that a long time ago and it seemed to work for him (it got him out of the house and out of his shyness). Granted, he spent over $1,000 at the time but he did meet some interesting women and and some pleasurable company. What is your take on dating agencies?

I think they are sad. It's pretty sad that people would have to pay to get a date. If you are that desperate or depressed to get a service, save your money and spend it on a therapist and figure out what's going on. I'd never use one or date someone who had, it sends up too many red flags. It's not that hard to approach someone and start a conversation.

YRH, does this mean you endorse the service described below, in lieu of a dating agency, should someone be "down on their luck" in dating?
