We are proud the BBB is an open forum and people can post any topic, any where. (Just follow the rules est.) If someone wants to post something that heads the thread in a different direction, they can. And some one can also post a topic that puts it back on track.

Hi OT. Because it's a way of giving them verbal exposure (music history) to go along with Beethoven Radio's aural exposure (the music itself).

I say MOST posts, not all, should be about classical music itself. Your complaint about the health care vultures was important, to us as well as to you.

Sometimes I feel the need to dis the president, but not at the moment. However, as he seems to have Iran in his sights, let me name-drop an Iranian composer: Aminollah Hossein. His Arya and Persepolis Symphonies are pretty nice. They are atmospheric and not too challenging. He also wrote a Scheherazade Suite (about 20 min long). I don't know if these works are found on CD. They should be.
