What happened to Piq distracting OT? Was she too busy trying to reach her feet? ;)

Well, again, I'm done for the day (and have been for a while. . .)
So here I am, again, chatting it up.
:)
At least I have this, right?

PDQ Bach! Easy decision! :D (Though I would probably like a better relationship with 'Big Daddy' Bach)

Perhaps, for a short time, a fossa, in the wild.

That was my first choice for Serenity's animal Q.
They are agile, enduring and graceful. They are highly energetic. I dont know if graceful or energetic comes third in teh list of what I admire.

But, I likes being me, for the most part!

Piq, I'm

Fossa: a cavity in a bone, with a large opening; an oval depression in a soft part, as that in the septum of the right auricle of the heart.

Fossarian, 1. in ecclesiastical history, a sect of dissenters who worshiped in ditches and caves in the 15th century.

fossick, 1. to be troublesome. 2. in gold digging, to undermine another's digging

What animal is "fossa, in the wild"?

I Googled it:

The fossa, Cryptoprocta ferox, is a meat-eating mammal that lives in rainforests and wooded savannas on the island of Madagascar (located off the southeastern coast of Africa). It is the largest native predator on Madagascar. The fossa is related to the mongoose. Fossas are fast runners and are also very good at climbing trees (and jumping from tree to tree). These mostly nocturnal animals have a life span of about 20 years in captivity.

Or, according to Piq, it's Tigger. :D

Hoo-hoo-hoo-hooooh! says Tigger. Thanks OT, my first instinct was to look in my unabridged dictionary. I'll google otherwise. I've never heard of such a beast.

By the way, are you going to Poster's Anonymous? I've missed your posts lately.

I have it on good authority my knocked-up bride has been taking payola from other posters on this board to keep me too busy to post much.

The only other person I have ever wanted to be was Donald McIntyre, standing on the stage at Bayreuth belting out those wonderful bass arias from "The Ring".

If I lived at any time other than the late 20thC., I'd want to be either a pioneer in NZ, Aus or the U.S. (Canada's too cold), or some rich guy in Europe. (But not France circa 1789)!

I have severe doubts about life as a pre-Cook Tahitian. From what I've read of such, it would have been nasty, brutish & short, and lived in a dictatorship.

A bit like the life of the French Peasant. Idyllic to look at; back-breaking to live.

As far as animals are concerned (having re-read the original post) I would like to be a whale. I'd stick to the South Pacific though, well away from Japan.
