Father's Day approacheth fast (in the US) ( its what we sometimes refer to as a Hallmark Holiday: driven by the greeting card manufacturers, of which Hallmark is a large one).

What music do you think of as being in praise of fathers, or representing fathers or in other ways connected with fathers, fatherhood?

(Who will make the first crack re "the father land"? OT or GC?? Any bet takers out there ??? <snickering icon>)

Hmmm, not sure about classical, but in the pop world Eddie Fisher sang Oh, My Papa in the 1950s and Paul Peterson sang My Dad in the 1960s.

My dad adores the Beach Boys, Stevie Nicks, and James Taylor. So pretty much anything by those artists is "father music" to me.
