Well, since there's no picture in your profile, I didn't necessarily assume anything...

So I guess you're qualified. And employed.

I think the best way to handle a micromanager is to give them what they want. Keep putting stuff in their inbox, get their advice for every little thing, talk to them a lot so you get to know each other and waste a lot of both your work time. Then watch them hustle to get a handle on everything. I think they will be so overwhelmed their desks will be even more cluttered than usual, they can't find anything and they'll realize they're going to have to delegate and "trust" you to do something. Proceed with confidence but ask them to "hold your hand" so nothing goes haywire.

Oh yeah, throw in some "ands, ifs or buts". Nothing drives them crazier than having exceptions to their rules and engrained work habits.
I'll have to try that.

OT I love the Landover Baptist site! Mrs Judy O'Christian is a favorite!

Betty Bowers is my hero! (I was told she developed the Landover site.) Have you checked out her site? She's my favorite queen. Plus God told her to Hate us! ;) (Fans will get that one.)

If you visit Mrs Bowers question section.there is a references to our all time favorite composer, Beethoven and how close to God he really is! "The Ladies of Landover Baptist's "Dawn Bible Study" yesterday involved a rather hot-tempered discussion about the Lord's Blessed Flatulence. We all know from Isaiah 16:11 what God's flatulence sound like ("Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab"). While we had some disagreement about whether it is an actual song or just random notes, we agreed to disagree, with most of us leaning heavily in favor of a little snippet from the, pardon the expression, third movement of Beethoven's 9th Symphony."

Saw this and made me think of this thread:

July 21 (Bloomberg) -- Delta Air Lines Inc.'s pilots union offered to take a 23 percent wage cut and accept new work rules to help the airline avoid a bankruptcy filing, two days after the carrier reported its worst quarterly loss. The shares rose as much as 20 percent. ...
Chief Executive Officer Gerald Grinstein today said the pilots' offer may be insufficient to stem losses at Atlanta-based Delta, the third-largest U.S. carrier.
The ever ongoing saga...

Wonder how much of a pay cut the top execs, the accountants and the janitors are taking?

Haggis,

Re: The second of the two photos.

Which would be the worst job? Being one of the two guys working on the tower, or the photographer who had to climb higher up to take the photo?

I always thought performing circumcisions would be a bad job, but I'm assured you can pick up a lot of tips doing it.<groan icon>
