Here's a link to the Something nice. thread for easy viewing access, and a detailed description of Treebeau's nefarious plot!

BTW, Slinky Malinky cracks me up! I once had a cat named Poltergeist, for much the same behaviour!

I saw that bib, could hear Maurice singing, and Leslie pouting and flouncing in the park. I love Gigi

Hot flash. Wakes me up, I wander around opening windows and doors and sitting in the night air on the balcony and cursing fate and hormones. Then the world cools off and I wander around shutting windows and doors and finding a sweater and cursing fate and hormones. Eventually things level out and I go back to bed.

Not exactly pleasant company. Nor well-dressed.

Since this is a baby thread (of sorts), just thought I'd share my happy news. My little niece has finally bulldozed her way into the world at a healthy 9 lbs 2 oz! My sister-in-law was only 6 lb at birth but I guess my bro's history of being an almost 10 lb baby overruled that. Either that or she had undiagnosed gestational diabetes. back to the altoid - she's really cute!

I need to deliver some babies to remind myself why I'm not ready for kids.

Wowee! Huge baby!

Congratulations, felicitations, and sympathy, as appropriate. How's your sister-in-law doing? And is your brother properly enchanted with his new girl?

I'm still waiting to get newborn pictures - they're in sacramento and I'm here waiting for mardi gras (maybe my priorities are a bit off). I'm also still waiting to find out her name - my bro and SIL haven't released that info yet. But as soon as it's a little later I'll try calling them for that info.

This little girl will be spoiled by every member of our extended family. And my brother spoils my SIL. I like to think that I trained him for this role as his baby sister. From an early age, he got used to a whiny, pleading "kevinnnnnn" and my SIL does the same thing and as soon as this little one speaks, it will be "daddeeeeee." Yep, those two owe me for all the training I provided. :)

Here's Payton Hanae
She's 9 lbs 3 oz and 19.5 inches long. She looks a little bloated but hey, how would you look if you tried to shove your head through too small of a hole. Her middle name is Japanese for "flower of grace"

Thank you so much for posting the pix. Yummy baby! I want to hold (for a minute or 15, no more - I dont really miss the floppy baby stage (often)). Payton appears to be a child with decided opinions already. Good for her! May that serve her well through-out her life.
