lioness,
it is all mind over nicotene. Smoking is an addiction. I quit in 1 day after reading this ebook I downloaded for $27. You can do it. I quit 10 months ago and I feel great !

Lioness, Day 5 and you're doing just great. I figure "losing it" just revs up your metabolism so you can get rid of all the cigarette crap faster--nature's own detox! :D

You can do this!

whew! day 5!
and i woke up to SNOW! it is the end of April and is snowing outside. what a wierd state i live in.

that is a good way to look at it Angie. a firend suggested an epsom salt bath to help draw out the toxins. it's alreay been 5 days but i'm sure it wouldn't hurt to do it this weekend.

anybody have info on this subject?

I would love to have the link to this book. Maybe it would give me the inspiration I need.

Lioness -- I have been rooting for you and sending you lots of positive vibes your way. I know exactly what you are going through -- I need a swift kick in the butt to get me motivated to quit. You obviously have more guts than I do.

thanks ks organist. just keep in mind. we are reflections of each other. if i can do it, anybody can.

i had been trying to quit for years. day by day and month by month, i would lighting up even though i didn't want to anymore.

now is always the best but, you're time will come if you truly want it to. one day, you just wake up and decide you aren't going to smoke anymore.

good luck to you when you make your decision. the best advice i have so far is do your reasearch, find a plan and use a replacement therapy of some sort. for me it was the only way i could get through the cravings.

i send this to you with care and devotion...

Not to scare anyone here but a buddy of mine passed away from lung cancer in his mid thirties.
Left a wife with 2 baby girls.

He smoked 2 packs a day for years... All of a sudden he noticed bruises on his back. At that point it was too late.

I urge anyone who smokes to please kick this habit.

I suppose it's possible. I found a MSDS for nicotine here and if somebody can kindly translate the toxicity levels into something I can understand we'll know.

Note the kinds of damage - liver, kidney, cardiac, respiratory, nerve, and reproductive. Doesn't leave much out, does it?

Lioness, you might want to print out and post that MSDS. Who knows, it might help! [/b]
i somehow missed this post earlier but glad i went back to refresh. this is some CRAZY stuff and i have never seen such a detailed description.

thanks momma meow. ;)

I AM SPAZZING OUT!!! I have the ebook but cannot even find his website, now. On the ebook it says www.Quit-Smoking-Tips.com but the page will not open as it did last June. Ok, I have a copy of the ebook, it was $27, as stated previously. I would copy it for anyone who wants it, just that the copies will cost me a few dollars, as it is kinda thick. I would love to get it to anyone who is serious about quitting. I LOVED to smoke. I miss is so much but I would rather have years added to my life as I have done. Thanks to all of you who have congratualted me for quitting. I never felt better in my life. Now, maybe the man changed how his website looks, I am not sure, but if you want to quit, really want to quit, email me and I will go and make you a copy, ok? This book has changed my life. Email me at michaeldark_@msn.com I will send it to you. My name is Eric, just tell me where I know you from and why you are writing me. :-) I wish nothing but health and prosperity to all!

Congrats, Lioness on getting through Day 5.

We've had snow here the last couple of days, too, although we're promsied "seasonal normals" towards the middle of the coming week.

Spring time in the Rockies -- gotta love it!

Lioness - I am so sorry you are ill today.
And so proud and pleased for you at Day 7!

My fav when I'm ill (besides bedrest & not being at work!):
chicken soup with tabasco and lemon juice.

Activity for those kitten claws at home: pedicures. You can keep those mitts busy for hours what with soaking, scrubbing callouses, trimming cuticles, getting teh color on straight, and decorating the color coat.

A hearty congratulations to you!
Altoid - curiously strong.
