Academy Awards

Postby Serenity » Sun Feb 27, 2005 4:49 pm

We are all bound to talk about it tomorrow, so just start it up now.

Has anyone had a chance to listen to all soundtracks nominated? Who should win and why?

Does anyone know that among the nominess for worst screen couple are George W. Bush and Condoleeza Rice in Farenheit 9/11?

What was the worst sequel? Alien vs Predator, Exorcist 4 or Scooby Doo 2?

Worst Picture? Alexander, Catwoman, White Chicks, Superbabies?

I just saw a pathetic performance by Bay Once. She can't sing. She looked good, but Aretha could have done a better job.

That set is gorgeous! I have never seen as many LCD screens, even on the ceiling. Super cool.

Thanks Hal, I'm glad it wasn't just me. I guess since we listen to B.Com and that song is frequently requested, were pretty familiar with it.

She sure is beautiful.

That was a really nice tribute to Johnny Carson, I wasn't expecting that. Pleasant supprise. He was a class act.

Yes I thought it was pretty cool. Carson was one of a kind.

How do you think Chris Rock is doing?

I like his job so far. Hopefully they will ask him back.

Ok, Maybe its just me, BUT, Bay Once sounds like a bad wheel bearing. She can't keep pitch, nor does she have any understanding of the score. I am not going to watch any more of her ( but I did like the hooker eye makeup).

Oh, and the audio mix was awful. I saw a 12ft. concert grand but never heard one plunk from it.

Rock is surprising me. Not bad

Best commercial was the Pepsi/Spartacus. It was a little disrespectful, but pretty clever.

I am still blown away by that set and all of those LCD monitors and the digital feeds. Amazing.

Although she sings, Beyonce is better known for her rack.

I wish it did.

OT, she pronounces it bee-on-say but the way its spelled it looks like bay once. And she sounds like she is baying many times.

who ever at coca cola approved that comm. with Karen Carpenter singing and advertising bottled water should be shot!
