"Be Yawns, ey?" is singing again something from Polar Express. There's a machine putting out snow but it looks like soot in that lighting.

Why are all the girls that escort people to the podium 7 or 8 feet tall? Is it a security issue? Where did they get all the 'amazons'?

Serenity, I notice that too, they look like red woods.

Maybe they have Beyonce so that Chris Rock can score the gold too. :)

Getting the costume lady from The Incredibles on stage was a pretty cool trick.

Anyone notice the hairdo on the singer from the Counting Crows? He reminded me of the Simpsons' Sideshow Bob.

Hal, you're not doing so well. I think you should go to the "other" thread and post at 11:59pm to boost your self-esteem.

Wow...I just saw the 96yr old lady who named her son Clint. It's nice to see "tough guy" Clint Eastwood kind of overwhelmed by the moment.

Why is best motion picture anounced by the Fokkers?

I take great pride in correctly predicted which Music Score was the best. :D

All the others were secondary. :p

I guess the people doing the Oscar ceremony (or whatever it's called) are trying to win on my thread... they had to finish before 11:59 EST

Beyonce totally butchered the chorus song. . .and a few others. . .<sigh> they should stick with the original performers, that's why people like the music. Their "star-studded" performances (including funny mouth-piece Rock) didn't land them any better ratings, in fact, they were lower by 5%
I would have liked to see the following wins:
Best Actor: Jamie Fox (excellent as Ray)
Best Actress: Annette Benning
Best Supporting Actor: Morgan Freeman
Best Supporting Actress: Cate Blanchette(stunningly good job as Kate Hepburn)
Best Picture: Ray
Best Director: Martin Scorcese- The Aviator
Best Music Score: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (amazing sdtrk)
Best Music, Song: Webber/Hart- Learn to be Lonely
Best Screenplay, Original: The Aviator
Best Screenplay, Adapted: Finding Neverland

I wasn't too off in most categories. . .
Mandi, Proud Mommy to fawn boxer Sam and two tabby kitties: Chloe and Ty!
