TrumpetMaster -- Yankeeography Vol II. was a gift for my B-day...I watched the Rizzuto segment last night. I really miss him in the broadcast booth. I'm also sorry I didn't see him play (Jeter is a big fan of his). There was a shortstop connection all the way from the Scooter to Kubek to Dent on. Way cool!!!

There was nothing better than listen to Rizzuto call the games with Frank Messer and Bill White!

My dad saw him play as it is a few years before my time. My dad hated the Yanks. He rooted for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Officer Joe Bolton and the 3 Stooges...and when I needed to irritate Mom, all I'd have to do was turn on Claude Kirschner on Channel 9. She'd hear Clownie's voice and I'd have the living room to myself! Those are some of my early Metropolitan area TV memories!

Then I'm sure you remember the Soupy Sales Show.

I looked Soupy up on the web and the job profession title he had was "Pie Thrower"

He was interviewed and said when he would open the door (we could never see what was behind the door) at times there would be a naked lady. Hence his look of shock.

I also was a big fan of the "Little Rascals"
Too bad they chopped them up and I think it was Bill Cosby who bought up the rights to them and stashed the film away as they were funny but at times racist.

Anyway!! GREAT Memories...

Yes Soupy was something. WhiteFang and BlackTooth talking would crack my mom up. Howard Stern had no love for the pie thrower though...
