I think I need to watch more sports center and less Discovery health channel before I choose a team since my oregon ducks suck again. But hey, they proudly hang the 1939 mens NCAA championship banner in Mac Court. Yep, that's the first and only time they held that title. Also the first year they had the championship.

Nacho Recipes: Lots o cheese, chili, jalapeños, Mrs. Renfros green salsa (other varieties are tasty too), zantac...
Actually, melted cheese on tater tots dipped in hot sauce or chili is equally tasty

URI is University of Rhode Island- my undergrad alma mater, and more interesting to you...also the alma mater to Lamar Odom.

Nachos ala King's Cross, Sydney, Aus:

doritos
spaghetti sauce (marinara)
mild cheddar cheese food

Spread sauce on chips.
Grate cheese food on top.
Broil til cheese melts.

1. Boil 2 cups water, add package and cook 5 minutes
2. Turn off heat. Add seasoning package, stir.
3. Serve immediately.

That 3rd step seems crucial.

Serenity, you overcooked the ramen.

I'm going to have to go buy the big can of nacho sauce from the Costco, while I'm out hunting booze and mangos tomorrow. I find that, suitably thinned with the juice out of the nacho rings, it works very well as a nacho dip.

Real nachos go: (from the bottom up)

Great BIG dish
layer of Mission tortilla strips
heavy sprinkling of shredded cheddar and pepper jack.
<microwave until cheese threatens to brown>
Add layer of chopped up carne asada
line up the garnishes: sour cream, guacamole, sliced olives, tomato salsa, and sliced up scallions
Pour thinned nacho sauce over the meat/cheese/chips structure, immediately decorate with the garnishes, run to television sporting event and share with several friends.

This is going to require beverages, lots of napkins, and probably a layer of newspapers on the rug.

Sorry Piq, Selma guessed right. It was Ramen. Why would you want to boil mac n cheese for 7 minutes? Try Easy Mac microwaved - 3.5 minutes; that'll come in handy when Altoid needs food NOW

UConn got their butts spanked in the Big East Tourney by Cuse Orangemen.

Consensus is (according WFAN out of NY): NC takes it all.

Don't have much of an allegiance to College Hoop teams. My state school in NY was in, Div 15 or something (I think it was actually Div 3.). It was a Hockey School and we were Div. III Nat. Champions back in late 80's.

However, we were right up there with UR high RI, for Party Schools!

I listen to WFAN here in the NY area and have to agree with them. I usually root for St. John's as I grew up in Queens.

I have to root for a Big East team!!!
It was going to be UCONN but looks like Syracuse will do better in the tourney.

Hope someone here at work has an NCAA pool!
