Hey, I didnt say a charlie horse would match the "discomfort" level. But it IS "just" a muscular contraction. We hoped he'd be able to generalize from there.

Comparable pain would involve knives.

Well, end of thread.

The old guy has expired, in his sleep, late this afternoon. The EMT guys couldn't resuscitate, the police guys looked at the box full of pills and called the hospital, and the coroner decided he wasn't interested and declined to autopsy.

Have I mentioned before? Diabetes sucks. Coronary artery disease sucks worse.

SISE,

Though I usually post tongue in cheek, this time I offer straightforward and heartfelt condolences. I know I speak on behalf of many others when I say that we are here for you when you need to smile, vent, chat, etc.

Warm regards,

Selma, and all your family -
I am so very sorry.
The little I met him, Gil was a fun and warm guy, with a terrific mischievous smile. I enjoyed our day together in the park.

For those who wish to send something to Selma, please PM either me or Piq, and we can give out Selma's address.

PS. I apologize in advance for delays in getting back to you today with information. Piq and I are going to help Selma out with some stuff, and will be away from our computers for awhile.

I'm back from running a couple of errands for Selma. She very much appreciates everyone's well wishes, but probably won't be able to tell you herself for a while. She's extremely busy making arrangements right now.
She does appreciate very much that folks here have expressed the desire to send her something, and has asked Piq and me to be the point of contact for that. I've received a few requests for her address so far, and you should all have your replies by now. Thank you very much.
Please keep her and their family in your thoughts and prayers. This was largely unexpected, and they are a bit frantic right now.

Thanks again.

I've just caught up with this.

I am sorry about your loss, Selma. Gil can't have been very old, and it always leaves a huge gap when someone goes early.
