In response to others:
Mary - we were in Mulmur - stayed at a B&B north of there...can't remember off hand. Since I had only been in areas of Ontario around the lake and between Niagra Falls and Detroit, I had no idea it was so hilly and pretty up there! Will definitly go again. Also - the ferry was sold - to a company that runs ferries in the Nova Scotia area. Anyway, it's up and running - a good deal if you don't bring your car (they charge you for the car AND each passenger). So - great thing if you live in Rochester and want to go to Toronto for the day, but not sure how many people in Toronto want to come to Rochester for the day...unless they're planning to drive down to the Finger Lakes and do some wine tasting...(which I highly recommend)
Monkey - I had the laproscopic gall bladder surgery about 5 years ago. In at 6am, out around 2pm. Home to sleep for the rest of the day, and was pretty useless for the next day or two. But it really was a pretty quick recovery, only took the major pain meds for 3-4 days, then advil took care of it for the next week or so. I was just lucky that I had my first attack 2 weeks after starting a new job with great insurance after having been without any insurance for a year, and crappy grad school insurance before that.
piq - I'm looking forward to a number of friends who are having babies in the next few months, as my baby really isn't a baby anymore.

But it's amazing to watch - we learn so slowly as adults in comparison.
