Thousands dead in South Asia:

This is terrible news. Pray for them. Donate to the International Red Cross, Catholic Relief Services, or whatever group or organization you support.

Can't believe all the natural disasters we have seen lately. Hundreds dead in Guatamala from Hurricane Stan....

Is the big man (er or woman) up there trying to get our attention?

I think the situation there is worse now, than it was for the victims of the Boxing Day Tsunami. And with the December snows on the way, reaching those who need help is going to be even harder.

It does make you wonder, doesn't it? About why all this happens to innocent people. I suppose we all just have to find our own answers to that question.

I'll be praying for those in need.

Andy, you're right.
There are reports that Ben Laden and his gang have been severely harmed or killed in this disaster - some would see it as Divine retribution.
But why condemn tens of thousands of the innocent to such a cruel fate together with him?
I have heard a reply to that: "Woe is the villain, and woe is his neighbour!"
