This certainly falls under the category of non-traditional music, but I thought I'd pass it along anyway...
There's a concert tour making its way across the nation between now and the end of the year called Video Games Live. It's a collection of music from(obviously) video games, performed by an orchestra, complete with lasers and other stage effects.
On the list of music to be performed, you'll find selections from the Mario and Zelda series, Metal Gear Solid (Harry Gregson-Williams, I believe), Final Fantasy, and Halo, among others. There's even a suite of music from Tron. Selected game composers will be on hand for pre-show meet 'n greets at each venue.
