Strange thing about my mother's family - All Roman Catholic women, and all but my mother divorced, including my late grandmother.

So, four women married in Catholic churches, three of them divorced (my parents are still together), two of the divorced ones never remarried.

But then, one aunt who had two children by her Catholic husband got divorced, gave up on Catholicism while her second (Protestant) husband was alive, then, when she wanted to marry a Catholic widower, she got the second marraige annulled (even though he was dead) with some financial incentives. I'm not the one to pry for those juicy details, but it is a story I find reasonably interesting regarding the RCC.

From the New Yorker....

What is the difference between God and Oprah?
{a}All of God's book is true.
{b}God didn't create Dr. Phil.
{c}God still won't do "Letterman."
