I too went to a religious grade school and all teachers were nuns. I don't recall anything special about any of them but I wonder if they had anything to do with my mistrust for religious authority (actually most figures of authority).

In my experience, I think public schools have predominantly female teachers at the lower grades (in the four city elementary schools where we're conducting a study, there's generally not more than 6 total male teachers per school), with more men as you get towards high school. Interestingly, our high school math department had only one man, while the science department had only one woman (and she taught Physics). At the college level you tend to get more male professors, but this is also field-dependent. In grad school I think my husband had one or two female professors (Economics) and I had about a 60% male, 40% female split in our wonderful interdisciplinary Biobehavioral Health major.

Oh dear, I finally got around to being taught my limits.
I too, do so love little kittens, so soft, so sweet. So non-standard.

Will someone please summarize the main attraction? My filter won't let me see it.

1920's dinner party.
Snooty men with bad fake accents talking about the gold standard.
Wife of one chimes in with a dissenting opinion. Everyone freezes.
All look at her in horror. Women modulate to pity and disgust, men modulate to anger. Hubby grabs her and drags her away home in anger
(Selma's humiliated a much better word here. Knew I was missing the right tone,. Thanks SISE !).

Take 2 - how it "ought" to be, per the clip
After men all agree on teh gold standard, same wife, apropos of nothing,
chimes in with how much she loves little kittens.... see my post above.
The other wives all look at her with approval. The men look doting and supercilious and condescending. A table full of happy marriages and happy people...

It's a "humor" video. Dinner scene: afterdinner conversation regarding the gold standard, men conversing and women listenening. Woman makes substantive contribution, entire party is scandalized, woman is removed by her humiliated husband.

"Scientific explanation" of male versus female mental processing, involving jello and spaghetti (I think).

Replay of dinner scene with woman who formerly offered an actual opinion now offering malapropriate observation concerning her fondness for kittens. General approval. Indulgent laughter from men.

Sententious announcer closes: Women, know your limits.

It seems Piq was typing while I was typing. Or I was typing while Piq was typing. Ow.

I like kittens. They're so little and fluffy.
