Here we vote at a church, but we voted in the elementary school down the street when we were in Michigan. School was kept open, they just didn't have gym class that day as that's where they set up the voting. We also voted on special touch-screen computers there, then came back to NY where we're still using the ancient, huge hand-pull machines. I think NY is nicely on track to miss the deadline (don't remember if it's this year or the '08 elections) for converting to more high-tech voting. These old machines are actually more accurate and much harder to mess with than anything new, but we have to give them up. Doesn't help that noone's manufacturing them any more, so they're always breaking down some for parts....

anyway, off track here......again....

The morning radio show I listen to was wondering if, or more likely when, someone would get ahold of the video of Steve's death and put in on the internet. I find it unlikely that it won't happen, but I really hope it won't.

I agree - I have no desire to watch it.

But 'anything for a buck' is the rule, if there's any money to be made in showing it, someone will find a way to get their hands on a copy and cash in on it.

Mind you, I'm not sure Mr. Irwin would have objected - if it could be aired with thoughful commentary on the dangers of encroaching on wildlife habitat and the important place the sting ray holds in the marine environment - so be it. I would rather the foundation he served make the money on it than some internet video hustler, as I'm sure he would.

Whichever the case, I won't watch it.

I've always watched the Croc Hunter....
I thought he was a wild man.... but he had such a passion to protect wildlife.

Steve Irwin will truly be missed....

did anyone see 20/20 the other night where
Barbara Walters interviewed Irwin's wife?
