Where can I look for a schedule of live classical concerts

Where can I look for a schedule of live classical concerts
... in Los Angeles?

I'd like to go once in a while, but don't know where to look for schedules. Any suggestions?

I've been to the Disney music concert hall, but I suspect concerts are played elsewhere as well. I live in NoHo.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Hello, Holly. Welcome back from your long sabbatical.

You can usually find this information by looking up the website of the orchestra or concert hall.

Such as here: Los Angeles Philharmonic

or here: Hollywood Bowl

or here: Concertonet

You might also try the Los Angeles Times website.

playbillarts.com has a good listing (I just looked, 8 events in the next two weeks mostly at Disney hall) and you can just Google on "classical music concert Los Angeles".

For more amateur and casual events, try a store that sells musical instruments. There'll be a corkboard with announcements somewhere near the practice rooms. Colleges (and high schools, for that matter) have Christmas concerts. Most churches do something musical for the holidays.

Good luck!

You might try the coffeehouses, too. They are often sources for information on solo or small group performances and bad poetry. :D
