Yes...and from me as well. Happy Thanksgiving to my friends out there. I will likely be "off-line" for a lot of the weekend since daughter Heather is visiting with her boyfriend (from Flagstaff). We are doing all the usual tour guide and sightseeing stuff here in the Bay Area. Today is a trek to Mt Tamalpias and a picnic at the coast followed by a visit to the Earthquake walk (where the San Andreas fault actually split in 1906) and a visit to the Point Reyes lighthouse station. It's a beautiful day here.

I wish everyone much happiness on this holiday and may you too be with the ones most special to you.
Jamie

Happy Thanksgiving ya'll! We're having a traditional turkey this year (fried it last year, it was good, but....) The MRHYN's and her 93 y.o. mom, the boys, a friend and me all wish you the best.

Belated Happy TG! Ours was good, although, for the first time, being in the house with a cooking turkey started a mild allergic reaction in husband. He just took a walk while we opened a window and put on the exhaust fans in the bathrooms, and a fan in the kitchen window. Made it through dinner without getting worse, but I don't think I'll be cooking a turkey again in our house. :( At least I've done it once on my own, know I can and feel pretty good about it. The turkey was still a bit frozen in the am - ran it under cool water until we could get enough open to get gibblets out, then a little longer, then back in the fridge until cooking time. Also cut apart the plastic holding the legs together before reading the instructions on how to take off and put back on. Just held legs together with some foil - worked fine. Husband enjoyed his flank steak. My cranberry sauce came out well - still using the leftovers in my turkey sandwich for lunch today! Used veg broth in mashed potatoes as I had two non-dairy folks - should have used more, but it was OK with gravy or butter. Mom did a great job on yams (new recipe) and gravy.

Happy Thanksgiving. Best wishes for full tummies and a lazy tryptophan-induced afternoon.
