When it's not strictly Classical....

Postby tobyz » Mon Dec 10, 2001 6:04 pm

Thank you, Nicole Marie, for playing something that isn't a pure Classic. I thought the Apocalyptica recording of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" was a blast of fresh air. It really broadens my horizons and adds one more group to my 'favorites'.
On the other hand, the current piece, Bartok is :( not my cup of tea. It just makes me look forward to whatever's on next.

Glad you liked the classical version of Metallica by Apocolyptica. There are a few groups out there that perform this style of music.
Sorry you didn't like the Bartok. He was such a ground breaking composer. Many contemporary composers opened the doors to new styles of performance, just like Apocolyptica does by mixing classical and Metallica!
Any time you want to hear more send me a request: request@beethoven.com

Nicole
